Live looping is the recording and playback of a piece of music in real-time for a live audience.

It has become extremely popular in recent years as it allows a solo musician to create amazing multi-part performances. Many leading artists such as Ed Sheeran, KT Tunstall and Billy Joel are adding looping into their live performances. This unique evening will explore the innovative use of live looping by brass musicians.

What is more extraordinary is the way in which live looping apps for mobile phones have made looping technology accessible and inexpensive.

We challenged brass musicians throughout the UK to show us what they can do with these amazing apps and four winning submissions will be presented at this event.
