Kitty Whately (mezzo soprano) with Joseph Middleton (piano)

Kitty returns to her native Northumberland to sing songs from opera, from Berlioz’ Nuits d’Ete, Ravel’s Melodies Grecques and others. She concludes her recital with Northumbrian folk settings and a medley of songs from the shows.

A BBC Young Generation Artist at the outset of her career, she subsequently won the Kathleen Ferrier award. Her recent Wigmore Hall recital with Joseph Middleton won universal praise from the critics.
