18 August 2017 - 23 September 2017

Local artist Paul Foster has lived in Washington for 25 years and finds inspiration for his paintings in the wonderful landscapes of the North East. He particularly enjoys the many woodland walks that can be found in and around the Washington area.

Nature and the countryside are the main focus of his work including the many country houses, parks and monuments that can be found nearby. In a rapidly changing world Paul feels it is important to do our best to preserve the amazing natural beauty that fortunately still surrounds us in this corner of the land and seeks to celebrate that beauty in his paintings.
