From traditional pilgrimage sites such as Durham and Canterbury to the landscapes of Yorkshire, Ian Scott Massie seeks to portray what draws people to places of pilgrimage, reflecting the character and personality of these places through his artwork. Durham features strongly in the exhibition, which comprises paintings and screen prints of special places to accompany Ian’s book Places of Pilgrimage.
