A musical adventure for 3 – 7 year olds. A highly visual show, with puppetry, live music, circus and movement. Created in 2005 by Artistic Director Hayli Clifton, French company Compagnie Animotion has a record of high quality, outstanding visual performance with five children’s shows, one street show and one aerial and contemporary circus creation. They have been making shows developing arts activities for Deaf audiences since 2005. In 2009 they widened their aims to create an international, visual language of theatre, accessible to all. “Where outcast animals find a new home”. When we are old, we are seen as no longer useful. Campagnie Animotion’s adaptation of Grimm’s The Musicians of Bremen tells the tale of 4 animals put to pasture; a donkey, a cat, a cockerel and a dog.Too old to be of any use to their masters, they explore their adventures finding each other, and their extraordinary friendship, despite the odds. Morally it shows that despite differences, we can be friends, and that the older generation contributes a great deal to society. With puppetry, movement and trapeze, all accompanied by live music, this show builds on our reputation of high quality, non-verbal work for young audiences.
