Two days of wonder for the whole family from the House of Fairy Tales. This summer at The Bowes Museum, Tulips are bursting forth in the galleries, a whirring Clockwork Garden is filling one of the rooms upstairs while outside in the grounds a trail of tasks, challenges and stories has appeared. For two special days all this will be brought to life, with live characters, artists and musicians leading visitors in brilliant investigations and activities.

To celebrate the arrival of the simultaneous sprouting of the Clockwork Garden and Turkish Tulips exhibitions the mysterious Garden Philosophers of The House of Fairy Tales are meandering over the dales and into the gardens of The Bowes Museum. We can be sure that a weekend of marvellous family fun will follow. Expect beguiling storytelling, rambunctious music, and mindful making that will have every member of the family fizzing with new ideas and humming with the joy of summer.
