FASHION WEEKEND RETURNS TO THE BRIDGES…

THE VERY best of high street fashion will be taking to the catwalk as Sunderland’s Fashion Weekend returns later this month (April).

The four day event, organised by the Bridges, will feature daily shows and competitions and give aways as the biggest retailers showcase their spring/summer ranges.

River Island, Topshop and Topman, Select, Superdry, Primark, Quiz, Dorothy Perkins, Superdry, TK Maxx, New Look, Next, Debenhams and Roman Originals have already confirmed their participation in the shows, which begin with a VIP evening on 26 April and then run a number of times each day until 29 April.

The shows will also be hosted for the first time by BBC Radio Newcastle breakfast presenter, Anna Foster.

Other major retailers are also expected to get on board, giving shoppers the opportunity to see the very best of what the centre’s shops have to offer for the months ahead.

“Our Fashion Weekend has now become a firm fixture on the calendar,” said Andy Bradley, the  Bridges’ centre director.

“It’s a great opportunity for shoppers to see the latest looks on the catwalk and we know how popular it is because items that appear often sell out immediately.

“We’re delighted that so many of our retailers have agreed to take part and we will be showcasing clothes for all ages and tastes.”
