SWEET LIKE CHOC LIT

The Word, National Centre for the Written Word, at South Shields, is holding a special event with women’s fiction publisher Choc Lit on Monday 14 May as part of The WRITE Festival.

And, along with talks from award-winning local authors, Juliet Archer, Kirsty Ferry and Jane Lovering, those who attend will get to enjoy some new reading material and take part in themed quizzes and games, with chocolate on hand and prizes to be won.

In addition there will be a chance for would-be novelists to pitch their own manuscripts to a Choc Lit editor.

The WRITE Festival is taking place from Saturday 12 – Friday 25 May and will feature a number of panels, workshops and events, aimed at celebrating the written word in all its forms.

Tania Robinson, Head of Marketing and Culture at The Word, National Centre for the Written Word, is delighted to be welcoming the publishing house to the centre.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Choc Lit during The WRITE Festival and this event will be great fun to get involved with, whether you are a budding author or just an avid reader.
