PREVIEW: Choreocracy

Record Breaking Dance Artist Tim Casson and BAFTA award-winning Digital Artist Seb Lee Delisle, present their first collaboration, Choreocracy; the fun interactive dance show that puts the audience in control of the performance.
Seb and Tim will be your guides through the show, and using innovative mobile technology, will give you control over the three highly-skilled dance performers in real-time – with no experience of dance required.
Find out what happens when we ask the public what would make a good show, decide what you do or don’t want to see, and have your say about what the dancers do next: as we explore whether a dance performance can be truly democratic…
Speaking about the show, Tim Casson said “The show is about our journey to create a truly democratic dance piece, and sees the audience voting for what they want to see, or what happens next, via their mobile phones. This means that each show will be totally unique to the audience who created it!
If you’re a technophobe, don’t worry! Technology can sound a bit scary, but we’ve been working really hard to make sure it’s all really simple – you don’t need to download any apps, just bring along a charged smart phone or tablet!”
Choreocracy will be at the Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, Hexham on Tuesday 20 November at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10.00, and £7.50 for students, and available from the Box Office 01434 652477 or online at www.queenshall.co.uk/events/choreocracy
