On Friday 20th September our District Zone Comedy night returns with a great show. We’ve got Jarrow’s own Lee Kyle closing the show who is one of the finest acts in the North East ‘Managing the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable, his jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs’, “Very funny” – Manchester Evening News “Had everyone on their feet – Sublimely ridiculous.” – Northern Echo.

He’ll be joined by a support act and your usual compere of Gavin Webster, the original post modern North East stand up comedian and a Geordie legend behind the microphone of 27 years as well as being a television panel show, Radio sketch show and British kitchen sink film legend.

After our very successful first night this will be another must see comedy night’

He has written for Radio 4 and appeared on BBC Radio’s Jesting About as well as 4 Extra’s ‘History of Geordie Comedy’ and wrote and starred in a sketch for ITV’s coverage of the Rugby World Cup and CBBC’s Wolfblood premiere.

He host the succesful ‘Which is the Best?’ podcast and has a Youtube video with 2.5 million views, on which most of the comments are from American’s telling him they can’t understand his accent.
