PREVIEW: The Life Centre are over the Moon to safely welcome visitors back to Space Zone!

Posted on September 21st 2020 by Whats on Northeast

All the stars of Space Zone are back, including Mission Control; a mock-up of the International Space Station that you can walk around inside; and the digital globe, The Sphere. Younger visitors can also enjoy the show Naughty Monsters Explore the Planets in the North’s biggest planetarium (with socially distanced seating, of course).

As well as discovering more about the cosmos, you can find how we’re already using space technology in our everyday lives and how scientists and engineers in the North East of England are helping to shape the future of space exploration.

You can still explore the incredible LEGO® brick creations in the Brick Dinos exhibition, too.*

A handful of exhibits in Space Zone won’t be available and some areas of the science centre, including the Young Explorers’ Zone, remain closed for now.

Pre-booking online is essential. This applies to Members, children aged 4 and under and carers. Members must bring Membership cards with them when they visit.

For information on how we are keeping you safe, check out our video.

*Brick Dinos available until 3 January 2021.
