On Tuesdays in the summer holidays meet the monk roaming the museum to learn more about how the medieval monks of Durham Cathedral once lived, cooked, slept and studied in the spaces that today house the museum. While you’re visiting the museum see the new exhibition, Meet Saint Bede, which illuminates Bede’s life and legacy through remarkable objects like a cast of Bede’s skull.
