New for the winter 2022 trail, international artist and designer Christina Ottonello has created the magical Snowflake Park, formed from 20 sparkling snowflakes. Visitors to the trail will be aglow at the snowflakes in various shapes and sizes shining in gold, silver, pink and blue hues.
Friends and family can make memories wandering between the artistically chosen illuminations, all to a soundtrack of Christmas classics. Pause at the mesmerising flickering flames in the fire garden and don’t forget to glimpse Father Christmas along the way.
As well as the new snowflake installation by Christina Ottonello, a Pealit Tree wrapped in a thousand lights and Green Laser Garden are just some of the curated light installations which will thrill visitors of all ages.
Matthew Findlay, Head of UK Trails for Sony Music/Raymond Gubbay Ltd, said: “We are hugely excited by the plans for this year’s trail, with artists creating beautiful, new installations which will provide even more ‘wow’ factor for 2022.”
Tasty treats await visitors with independent street food vendors offering their delicious menus. End the trail at Gibside and warm up under the stars with a *spiced winter warmer or *hot chocolate shared with friends and family. Everyone loves toasting a marshmallow over an open fire and the artisan *marshmallow stall gives visitors the chance to warm their hands and enjoy this sweet outdoor tradition.
Christmas at Gibside provides a special way to celebrate the festive period with an unforgettable outdoor experience. The trail is designed for visitors of all ages and is accessible for all to enjoy.
