Carols of Light has only been held once before in 2011 to celebrate the Foundation’s tenth birthday. The evening saw over £100,000 raised and was met with Royal approval with the HRH The Countess of Wessex, the Foundation’s Royal Patron, in attendance.
“We are delighted to announce that tickets have gone on sale for the Carols of Light at Durham Cathedral this Christmas. Since we announced the event earlier this year, we have had an unprecedented number of enquiries for tickets and we are anticipating that this very special event will sell out very quickly.’ explains Foundation of Light Chairman, Sir Bob Murray.
“Working with our friends at Durham Cathedral and Durham University we are putting on this very memorable event, with Foundation Trustee Sir Tim Rice creating an exciting musical line-up, which will include some famous faces as well as provide an opportunity for local schoolchildren and choirs to get involved.
“Every penny raised will be donated to the Foundation of Light, at a time when the charity’s work across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham matters so much to so many.”
Tickets are available from just £25 alongside unique and special hospitality packages are available to purchase from £850.
