Join us on Friday 14 October at mima as we take part in Middlesbrough’s Nightfall, Sky Full of Stars event, a programme of installations and activities inspired by the beauty and wonder of the night sky.
Stargazing on the Terrace

Use our roof terrace to explore the night sky with astronomical guides to help you navigate the constellations visible to the naked eye from Teesside.

We present two moving image works: 13 Essential Rules for Understanding the World (2011) by Basim Bagdy (born 1977, Egypt) and Things (2014) by Ben Rivers (born 1952, UK). These short films explore the categories, frameworks and rules that humans devise to try to understand and make sense of the world. Screening in partnership with the Artist Moving Image Network with the ICA, London.
