Groups visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral will be able to enjoy an exclusive Christmas experience with an afternoon carol concert sung by Durham Cathedral Choristers.

Performed in the magnificent Nave of Durham Cathedral, the Choristers will process up the aisle by candlelight and entertain the audience with traditional carols and choral music.  There will also be the chance to join in and sing a couple of firm favourites!

Included in the offer is the chance to explore free-flow inside the Cathedral, plus a visit to the Local Producers’ Market held in the Cathedral’s historic Cloister, part of the Durham City Christmas Festival with a further marquee of crafts and gifts only a few feet away on Palace Green.

Just off the medieval Cloister is the Undercroft Restaurant, with its vaulted ceilings and display of various art exhibitions, serving homemade refreshments.  Opposite this is the new Shop which stocks a range of books and gifts to complete the day’s experience.
