This year the Cathedral welcomes Ruth Barnett, born Ruth Michaelis in 1935 in Berlin, Germany. In 1939, aged four, Ruth and her sevenyear-old brother arrived in Britain on the Kindertransport. Ruth will tell her story as part of the culmination of a day of workshops designed for secondary age school children. Schools wishing to take part should contact education@durhamcatheral.co.uk.

Visitors to the Cathedral are welcome to join us to listen to this talk.
