This score is studded with some of the most powerful, uplifting and moving music ever composed for the stage, and Richard Rodgers regarded it as his finest achievement. When Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan meet and fall in love, little do they realise that Billy’s rebellious ways will result in tragedy. DMTC’s production of Carousel will mark the 50^th anniversary of Fred Wharton’s productions for DMTC. Carousel is a show that both he and DMTC have never staged before. We want to make this a special, spectacular way of saying a huge THANK YOU to him for all he has done for us and the people of Durham.
