Sunfest… The University of Sunderland’s drama department take over Arts Centre Washington presenting a range of classic and contemporary texts.

An epic  play by Brecht. The play is a parable about a peasant girl who rescues a baby and becomes a better mother than its wealthy natural parents. Two stories centred around Azdak and Grusha come together in a Caucasian City ruled by a Governor, who serves a Grand Duke.
