Are you feeling adventurous? Great North Nights is our new programme of late events and we’re getting underway with the museum’s first ever grown-up sleepover. Because why should kids have all the fun?

If you like the sound of bedding down next to an Egyptian Mummy or a T. rex, we’ve got a treat for you. An unforgettable Saturday night in Newcastle’s historic Great North Museum: Hancock awaits, complete with food, drink, expert-led activities and live music.

Drop your bags from 6.30pm and enjoy a drink on us. There’s plenty of time to explore the museum, including special activity stations and the new exhibition Bones: Skeleton Secrets of the Animal World.

Want to bag a prime sleeping spot? Enter our competition for your chance – all will be revealed on the night.

After dinner, The Cornshed Sisters take centre stage underneath the stunning Living Planet display. Following their spot at Glastonbury 2016, Jennie, Cath, Liz and Marie play songs from their upcoming second album, currently in production at Field Music HQ.

A DJ set keeps the party going past midnight, with a cash bar providing a wide range of tasty tipples throughout the night.

It’s time to tick this one off your bucket list and say “I was there.”
