Cultural historian Gail-Nina Anderson will present this illustrated evening talk in the Black Gate.
It’s 2017 and Dracula is 120 years old! Well, the good Count may be centuries older, but Bram Stoker’s novel saw its first publication in 1897, and that’s a cause for celebration.
This illustrated talk explores the creation of Dracula, looking at his folklore roots and literary ancestors, and considers the way that movies and modern popular culture have affected his image, his meaning and even his wardrobe.
This talk takes place in the Black Gate, which is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Sign up to our newsletter to be alerted when tickets go on sale.
