Blackfriars Ouseburn Cinema
The BOC is a not-for-profit, pop-up cinema with regular screenings at Blackfriars @ The Ouseburn; a Community Centre run by the St Vincent de Paul Society, just outside Newcastle City Centre.
We pride ourselves on being a little different to most cinemas; offering a unique way to experience film. With a dimly-lit ‘cabaret’ style table set-up and refreshments delivered directly to your seat!
We screen in a large beautiful hall with a wonderful bar that provides a full range of hot and cold drinks, (so please don’t bring your own) and don’t worry, we have plenty of snacks to chose from, including ice-cream and fresh popcorn!
Throughout the year, alongside our regular schedule, we plan to host several niche film-festivals, live-concert screenings, film-themed costume parties and film singalongs where you can have a good dance too! We have a few ideas already, (below) but feel free to send us your own.
- Mountain Film Festival
- Cycling Film Festival
- 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s Film-themed Costume Parties
