Come and join us for a creative and colourful workshop where children will have the opportunity to design and make their very own mosaic coaster. We will be taking our inspiration from the objects on display in the Hadrian’s Cavalry exhibition and in particular the Roman Cavalry Shields which would have been used. The session will last for one hour and is suitable for children aged six years and up.
Due to the grouting process the mosaic coasters will need to be taken away to have the final finishing touches added and will therefore require collection from the Roman Fort at a later date (date and time to be confirmed during the workshop).
Adults may stay with their children during the workshop or are more than welcome to take a look around the site whilst children create their coasters.
