ONE OF Newcastle’s newest bar and restaurants is bringing a famous Bavarian festival to the North East.
Beer, traditional food, music and even karaoke will be on offer to Antler visitors looking to celebrate Oktoberfest between 22 September and 30 October.
The restaurant, at Newcastle’s 55 Degrees North, will be serving authentic Bavarian dishes from 12pm onwards every day and to help people truly celebrate in style there will be a number of drinks offers to make the most of, from favourite cocktails to beer served in traditional steins.
Then, on every Friday and Saturday during Oktoberfest, Antler will host music and entertainment on stage from 2pm and eating competitions for those with a strong stomach.
The bar will also be showing live sports on the big screens and the karaoke room will be available for groups of 10 or more.
To book a table during Oktoberfest for £10 per person – which includes a pint of Krusovice or Moretti and a Currywurst hot dog sausage – call Antler on 0191 261 1066 or visit www.antlernewcastle.co.uk.
There is also a VIP option available for groups of four or more, where for £60 a head visitors can reserve a table, enjoy bottomless beer, a selection of Bavarian sharing platters and nibbles and free use of the karaoke room.
Gary Hutchinson, who owns Antler, is looking forward to bringing the German festival to Newcastle.
“Oktoberfest is famous all around the world and if you’re in Newcastle, then what better place to celebrate it than an alpine-themed bar?” said Gary.
“We have worked hard to pull together a really fun programme of entertainment to evoke the true spirit of the festival.
“We’re expecting the event to be really popular, so I would suggest that those wanting to make the most of a great deal and to guarantee a table should book in advance.”
