Special Service - Commemoration of Founders and Benefactors

The Cathedral community is joined by representatives from Durham City Trust, Durham County Council and Durham University to commemorate all those who have been instrumental in the founding and development of this Cathedral church and the wider community in Durham. Those to be commemorated include bishops, theologians, artists and musicians, among others, and at the culmination of the service, representatives from local charities and schools will lay floral tributes at St Cuthbert’s Shrine.
