‘White Christmas’ makes a welcome return to Newcastle in November 2016. Starlight Theatre Productions will present this ever popular show, with its wonderful Irving Berlin score, to help us kick off the festive season in style.

This well known show features some favourite songs to sing along to, Let Yourself Go, Blue Skies, Sisters and the much loved title song, White Christmas, to name but a few.

Bob Wallace and Phil Davis , a vaudeville act who serve in the army during WWI, return to ‘civvie street’ and, during a stint on the Ed Sullivan show, they meet with the Haynes sisters, Betty and Judy, and Phil and Judy hit it off, with the result that Phil manipulates Bob and they end up in Vermont with the girls. By coincidence, the boys army commander, General Waverley, owns the inn where they end up. Unfortunately he is a better General than an innkeeper and the quartet set out to save him from bankruptcy by staging a Broadway style production in his barn. Full of humour, pathos and a few misunderstandings along the way, this lively show is packed with high energy dance numbers. It has universal appeal to audiences of all ages so bring the children, and your grandma, and get Christmas off to a great start!
