Grab your time machine and travel back to ancient lands.
After a short introduction to ‘A Greek in Egypt: the Hunter from Naukratis‘ you will take on the role of a digital archaeologist and architect by designing your own Greek and Egyptian temples in Minecraft.
Please note, within each workshop, participants will be working together in pairs using a PC version of Minecraft. We will endeavour to pair siblings and friends together.
While no prior knowledge of Minecraft or Ancient Greek and/or Egyptian history is needed, if your child has no experience of Minecraft, we recommend having a play before the event.
PCs and Minecraft will be provided as part of the workshop.
This event is facilitated by the European Gaming League.
This event is suitable for children aged 7 – 14.
Please note that due to space limitations, one ticket purchase entitles one accompanying adult to attend for free.
Our family workshops are an ideal activity as a starting point or supporting contribution for completing a Discover in a Day Arts Award. Arts Award booklets are sold in the gift shop for £6 and includes the moderation fee. Support is available from our learning team on the day.
